Thursday July 26, 2012 | New York - Assistant Attorney General Richard Schwartz is injured by falling debris from Christ Church in Cobble Hill. Fallen scaffolding pinned Schwartz to the sidewalk after a bolt of lightning strikes the church steeple, who eventually passed away. Stunned observers originally believed Schwartz would recover just fine with medical attention.
Side Story - Friday July 27, 2012 | New York - Vivian Lee, reporter for NY1, is assaulted by Theresa Casivant while reporting on the Schwartz story. Casivant hit Lee in the back of the neck, broke into the news van and stole makeup and snacks while wearing a white bed sheet and green flip-flop sandals. Casivant is taken into custody and Lee is reported to be doing fine.
